This week has been about sourcing venues and creating future relationships with them, for them to recommend me to future newlyweds and, of course, for me to be able to advise the happy couples on the best locations for their most important day. One of the venues I visited, which I am very pleased to say I will be working with, is Hotel de Cours de Thomazeau which is based in the town of Castillonnes. This is a 1770 gem, hidden in the busy town.
This outstanding venue can accommodate 80 guests for an intimate wedding ceremony and breakfast and a memorable party. The hotel sleeps 12 guests, which is ideal for the bride and groom and their close family and friends to get ready throughout the day and crash after the party. Also, as it is based in town there are plenty of other accommodation options for the rest of the guests. Every room in the hotel is different than the other, as you walk around this amazing building you never know what will be in the next room.
Hotel de Cours de Thomazeau is a remarkable venue that just oozes luxury and glamour. The owners have restored it to its former glory themselves and they have clearly put their hearts and souls into making sure it fits perfectly with its history.
The property is sprinkled with lots of quirky elements. My favourite touch must be this piano, which can be elegantly played at the ceremony; it has a very unusual design with curves on both sides.
Depending on the size of your wedding and the style that the newly weds are looking for, there are two options for the wedding breakfast. The Grand Hall, on the ground floor, is lovely and cool during the hot summer months and also a lovely size to fit a band or DJ for the evening reception. Alternatively, there is the Lounge, a lovely room on the top floor, which is often used for the ceremony, before moving downstairs for the party.
Hotel de Cours de Thomazeau has something to offer for everyone! They are very open to all couples wedding plans, and love a challenge. Get in touch if you think this venue is what you are looking for.
Unfortunately, the above pictures do not do this venue justice, which is the perfect excuse for a new styled shoot, early next year.
